Justin Piper is the Allegro School of Music's guitar, bass and piano teacher. Justin confirmed his early musical promise when he won several awards while a member of the jazz band at the Reading Memorial High School. He holds a B.M. from the Berklee College of Music, and an M.M. from the New England Conservatory. He has had improvisation studies with Bruce Bartlett, Charlie Banacos, Jerry Bergonzi, Ben Monder and Gene Bertoncini, as well as classical studies with Adam Levin, a student of Eliot Fisk who studied under Andres Segovia.
Justin has toured the country, played on radio and television, done recording projects overseas and spent a short time working with Joey Kramer of Aerosmith.
He has been teaching in the area for over ten years and has developed a strong student following, as well as being a top referral for students by many of the areas local public school teachers.
Justin currently gigs, records and teaches in the Boston area, and is working on a series of method books. He uses and endorses John Pearse strings (www.jpstrings.com).
