Justin Piper is the Allegro School of Music's guitar and bass teacher. He also teaches a few piano students.
Justin confirmed his early musical promise when he won several awards while a member of the jazz band at the Reading Memorial High School. He continued his musical studies at the Berklee College of Music, from which he received a B.M. in guitar performance. Subsequently, he obtained a M.M. degree in jazz guitar performance from the New England Conservatory of Music, where he studied with notable jazz musicians such as Jerry Bergonzi, George Garzone and Ken Schaphorst. He has also studied privately with Bruce Bartlett and Charlie Banacos.
Justin is a well-known guitarist in the Boston area. He currently plays with his own jazz band, the Justin Piper Trio and has recently joined Angry Hill to play guitar and sing back-up vocals. In addition, he continues to play with the Freelance Bishops and Organ in Orbit, as well as in a number of free-lance gigs. In addition to an active playing schedule, he has taught for more than ten years, both privately and at several music stores in the north suburban area.
